So this week was more of the same as last week just continuing the work.
The first thing I did was trying to edited multiple sound clips and such to create new sounds that would fit our game. For example I could just add the traditional hitmakers but it didn't feel right.
Apparently the adobe suite is free for us Westphal students this year so I downloaded adobe audition and started learning how to use that. The results were not the best (warp gate sound is one example) but its getting better and I'm gonna keep at it.
Next was just getting more sounds for the game and such like the new level 2 music and the slicing sounds for the melee enemy. This part was just time consuming because of the web searching the actual implementation is getting quite easy for me.
Then we have converting the audio to be more spatial so the player has an addition way of figuring out where they are being shot at. This part is new to me but so far seems intuitive enough just needs a bit of tinkering number wise.
Lastly the hardest part so far has been trying to create a laser system to block the character(instead of the current blocks that stop you). I have been having trouble with the vfx system in Unity and I am not sure why. I have since then changed my approach and hopefully we should have somethign by next iteration.
