Week 3 PPJ

This week I spent most of my time working on weight painting and adjusting joints. I was going to finish it here however, after discussing it with the animator I decided it would be best to also add IK into the rig which I will work on next week, Once that is done the rig is absolutely complete.

But as for what I did this week, as I mentioned it was focussed mostly on weight painting, something that completely slipped my mind with making the skeleton and showed itself with its issues when I bound the skin. While this doenst mean that there is anything inherently wrong with the skeleton, it just meant that some adjustments needed to be made to the skin. Most of the issues were in the fingers where some of the weight between the fingers was split likely because the fingers were too close together. In this case it just meant I needed to repaint them so they were attatched to each other when they individually moved.

Other than that I made some slight adjustments to the joints them selves just to clean it up and I also color coated the controllers so they werent all the same color, just something to elleviate any future headaches.

All together I spent 6 hours this week total.

3 hours on weight painting

3 hours on cleaning up and color coating.

This rig will be finished by next week.
