So for Week 11, it was a lot of me cleaning up some previous work and adding some more pictures. I created some new skyboxes, drew some explosions, created a model of a space station hull, placed some placement textures on a model, and I added onto the Art Design Document.
Here are the explosion frames I was asked to draw in case we go through a 2D method of animating enemy explosions:
Below is a picture of the skybox I made for the second level of our game. I changed the color to signify that the player is in another level, and I greatly reduced the size of the stars so that they would appear much less blurry in-game:
Hull debris modeled through Maya:
Hull with placement textures, in the future I will add the actual drawn out textures for every object in game:
The insides aren't fully decorated but I do plan on adding a lot later on to make it seem like an area that saw use before its destruction.
For the ADD I added a few more pages devoted to what went behind making the enemy model and character, our skybox, our debris, and our environment in general:
All in all, I just wanted to say that I am really happy with the progress that has been made in this class. Working together, going through the art process, and seeing the entire journey from beginning to now has been a great experience. Even if our game doesn't get chosen to move on, I am still happy with what Void Gaming has been able to do over these past several weeks.
