The number one thing people complained about most during our playtests was the player movement. Here's a screenshot from our surveys:
So we obviously needed to fix this problem before shipping out the beta. That's what I understood this week as we needed to refine the player controller first and fix the outstanding issues on it. Rejoice because I think I was able to get the controller working better. It's far smoother now and will feel more closer to FPS games like Fortnite. However, the movement is far smooth because what we are trying to achieve is an adventure-exploration game, not a shooter.
I think the current environment and the movement feels closer to games like ABZÛ, just as we set out to do.
We also added the base player model to the game, replacing our weeks old capsule. After some rigging and animation, the player character should start looking pretty awesome. Stay tuned!
