So this week I have been pretty busy with finals and everything so I focused on getting some more models done so that we could populate the game levels more (albeit without the textures for now)
Above is front and back of the courier's package model. This will be what the player brings with them across the game. If I had more time to add the stylized texture that I planned to incorporate with my models, I would definitely have this be a bright yellowish-orange with white decals and somehow incorporate a holographic screen into the model.
Above is a "space mine", during the process of making the game, we realized that to prevent people from skipping the level, we needed a natural deterrent to prevent them from skipping danger. So, I created a mine similar to those old naval mines that would be hooked to chains. This model would most likely have been olive drab colored with painted red tips (like how the enemy model would have been) and some alien writing printed on the side.
Finally, there is the warp gate. This will replace the little doorway that served as the game's exit to the next level. The original doorway exit didn't fit the setting or world, so I thought that the player should leave through a warp gate that came off a damaged ship. I tried to make it look somewhat stripped or damaged with some pieces being bare or exposed, and this too would have been given the yellow-orange color scheme with white decals to connect to the player model and package. Inside the gate would be vfx of a swirling vortex to send our players to the next stage.
(In regards to tweaks, I just worked on the enemy model's scales, body positioning, and some more tweaks to some UV's for other objects)
