Final PPJ?

Time this week: 18 hours


So I kind of did a lot of stuff within this last week of our game project. I finished UV'ing a lot of our other models, I drew, modeled, and textured some different planets for our environment, I created a fragmented asteroid that blocks the player at the beginning (mainly to replace our first "blockade"), I finished the ADD with the necessary character revisions., textured the space mine.


The Planets:

For these I simply wanted to create some space planets that visually looked cool, so I UV'd some spheres and tried my best to make them line up.

Space Mine:

For the space mine, I just did simple textures to follow the design of the other models. Even with that in mind however, I included some small details to make an explosive slightly more intimidating.

Fragmented Blockage:

With this we originally planned to just add a cracked texture to a disc, however on the off chance that we implemented a shatter function, I modeled this "disc" in a way that tells the player that they can shoot it. With the shatter function, these pieces would explode and separate from each other, allowing the player to pass on through.


UV'd Items:

UV'ing has become the bane of my existence these past few weeks but I did a lot of it so that other members on the art team could help texture the rest of the items we were missing. There are a lot more items that I UV'd but for the sake of saving space I will just put a couple images down below.


Cargo Container, "bio cases", cargo cube, silo, and Anvil Space mine:

Unfortunately, one of the things I wanted to get done before the deadline was the space ship hull. I wanted to UV and texture the individual pieces to flesh out the model more, but I didn't have enough time. I will still try to work on it to get some of it in, but the piece itself consists of many different models with a bunch of geometry.
