Hours: 7-8 Hours
So for this week I finally completed the enemy melee model in terms of the model itself and UV's. It had to go through some minor revisions to save time, but ultimately the changes should still fit the enemy model and their playstyle. Currently I have my UV's for this model set up into different limb groups so that other members on the art team would generally know what goes where when we get to texturing.
Above is the Enemy model (sorry that it is a little hard to see at the moment) With this, I essentially removed the shoulder
pads and hands because, functionally this enemy will pretty much work even without hands and by removing them I would save a good amount on time modeling. Currently, it is bigger than the player model and depending on how we want this character to play, we can make it bigger or smaller.
Above is the charging station I made, and there isn't really a lot to say with this model but it will be a secondary objective for our second level. It is a lot taller than the enemy model and I may increase the size of the base if need be. In terms of design, I will probably make it so that the pillar rotates or moves up and down while activated just to give a visual signal to the player that they are triggering the related event.
For next week, I will be moving to finish the other enemy models (which should be quicker just due to the fact that I would be able to use assets from the gunner model with slight variations)
