Beta Week

Total Time: 8 hours This week, I focused on a couple different tasks. First, I started off by creating textures for the melee enemy named the Reaver. This was my first time opening Maya in almost a year so I definitely had some refreshing to do, but got the hang of it fairly quickly. With the help of Ivan's concept art, the process went fairly smoothly.




After texturing the model, I moved on to creating a couple different VFX for the game. This was much more difficult, and although I had tutorials to follow, it was a complicated process I didn't have experience on. I spent most of my time redoing things, but managed to get two of them working fine. After sharing them, one of the VFX didn't work in the build, so I'm going to have to go back and see what went wrong.

The last thing I had on my to-do list was to make a logo for the game. This was something I've had a lot more experience on than the latter two tasks and went through a couple different renditions until coming up with a final logo.
